I’ve been dancing with you every night

You are holding on to me so tight

Your mem’ry will not let me go

So we dance and I still don’t know

That every dance is only in my mind

Dancing with you only in my mind

Helps to keep you with me all the time

I won’t have to let you go

And I will never have to know

So, I let you ask me for a dance

I never know that this is just pretense

Bittersweet Surrender                         

                                                     

Turning back the pages of my memory

I find my broken heart and shattered dreams

Now to turn the pages forward in my mind

And face the world without you with me

I remember the happiness we shared

Now to write new pages in without you

Seems to me more than I can bear

I find the hopes and plans we dreamed upon

Now forever is not time I’ll spend with you

But learning how to live with you gone
